As P-type technology approaches its efficiency limitations, N-type technology is poised to become the market mainstream. N-type solar cells are categorized into three main technologies: TOPCon technology (represented by companies like Jinko, Trina, JA, etc.), HJT technology (represented by companies like Huasun, Risen, Akcome, etc.), and xBC technology (represented by companies like Sunpower, Aiko, etc.).
Currently, the majority of companies are adopting the TOPCon technology route, characterized by a lengthy manufacturing process with low mass production costs, resulting in relatively lower module prices. HJT technology, with a shorter manufacturing process, faces cost challenges due to equipment and material limitations. On the other hand, IBC technology, despite its extended manufacturing process and higher costs, boasts the highest efficiency and attractive appearance, making it popular in the residential market.
The BC route includes traditional IBC technology, Aiko's ABC technology (N-type xBC + other advanced technologies), Longi's HPBC technology (P-type xBC + TOPCon), and TBC technology (N-type xBC + TOPCon).
